For Ages 5-14
Sturry Kings Football Club was established around 2006 and is a community Club run entirely by volunteers.
All our Coaches are DBS checked with current FA safeguarding, child welfare and first aid training. During this time we have grown from having approximately 8-10 players to over 100 in 2016, with ages ranging from 5 to 14. In 2011 we became an FA Chartered Standard Club, which means that we adhere to FA Respect policies and codes of conduct, maintain appropriate levels of discipline and prioritise child welfare. We have our own Welfare Officer who in turn has the support of the FA Welfare Officer.
The aim of the Club is to encourage girls and boys of all abilities to work as a team, develop their skills and enjoy the ‘beautiful game’ in a safe and friendly environment.
We are very proud that some of the younger adults who now assist with coaching and refereeing were trained by the Club and with the support of the Club have returned to help with the development of others.
Sturry Kings FC are lucky to benefit from the use of facilities at Junior Kings School in Sturry for training with matches played at Sturry and Hersden Primary Schools and we are supported by local businesses providing welcomed sponsorship.
